Alexa couldn’t shake the feeling she had seen the mask somewhere before. Mack had never shown her the mask in the vault, as he’d promised. Still, the photo nagged her. Closing her eyes, she tried to let her mind wander, but she could scarcely hear herself think from the sound of the rain pounding the roof. As the severity of the storm lessened so did the stress of remembering until the memory rushed forward.
Author Bio: A native of south Louisiana, Sophia Petrou currently resides near her family in Winter Park, Florida. Her experience working in the fields of agricultural and cancer research helped to provide the inspiration for her novel’s main character. She is presently at work on her next book.
